INTRO (begin):
she was born there
and then she left
and she lived in
this our Queen’s Land
she was welcomed
by one by all
loved most dearly
in our Queen’s Land
INTRO (end):
then a fateful
request was made
“carry these words
to your birth land”
very next tide
she did abide
very next tide
she left our side
blackness amidst stars
surround, all around
she steered that ship
she did abide
1st BREAK
so she left us
and travelled far
and she arrived
in her birth land
“hear my words, please
for this I’ve come
to tell, truthful
a future known”
watch guard said “halt
yea shall not pass
dare not to speak
leave here, turn back”
2nd BREAK
very next tide
she did abide
very next tide
she left their side
blackness amidst stars
surround, all around
she steered that ship
she did abide
she told them not
of a future known
then sailed back here
and wrote a poem
OUTRO (begin):
she was born there
and twice she left
and she lives now
in our Queen’s Land
she is welcomed
by one by all
and loved most dearly
in our Queen’s Land
OUTRO (end):
